The Tour Van Portland is located on the Ghost Creek course at the renowned Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club near Portland, Oregon. Wood and Iron fittings are done on the grass driving range. Putter fittings are done on the pristine and well manicured greens. And wedge fittings are done in bunkers, rough and tight lies on the property to get proper feedback.
BAG EVALUATION
We will perform a diagnostic evaluation of the player’s current equipment through turf and ball fight interaction using TrackMan™ data. During the experience we’ll adjust loft & lie as needed while making overall bag recommendations.
WEDGE FITTING
The short game fitting for wedges will focus on yardage gaping on full swing shots as well as off-speed shots. We will evaluate how the player delivers the club head to the ball selecting the proper lofts and sole grinds to match each player’s specific delivery.
WOOD/SHAFT FITTING
We will create a baseline with the player’s personal driver with captured TrackMan™ data. Then, using a universal fitting matrix that offers over 4200+ driver head and shaft options we will fit the player for the optimal equipment combination.
LOFT & LIE
By observing the player’s use of their own equipment, we will evaluate how the club head interacts with the turf. We will make any loft and lie adjustments as needed, resulting in a more consistent contact with the ball.
IRON FITTING
The iron fitting consists of a strategic process of evaluating loft, lie, club head, shaft type, shaft flex, shaft length, and grip. We will properly fit both iron heads and shafts using a universal fitting system while making adjustments along the way to find the ideal match.
